Michael Chiasson serves as an Administrative Assistant for the Diocesan Office of Vocations to Priesthood.  In addition to his role with the Diocese, Michael is also a Professor of Accounting at Nicholls State University, where he teaches courses in intermediate and advanced financial accounting.  During his tenure at Nicholls, Michael has also held the position of Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance.  He has also been awarded, and currently holds, the Charlotte Bollinger Endowed Professorship in Business.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Nicholls State University.  In addition, he also holds a Doctor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University.
